Do fleas not like leather?????
Fleas like surfaces (or animals) that they can burrow into to hide..Leather (even suade) doesn't have enough "fluff" like carpet or other furry surfaces..
Reply:Fleas feed on blood, which is why you only find them on warm-blooded critters. The reason they don't like leather is because, while it was once part of a living animal, it no longer is living tissue. There's no blood for them to feed on, so they don't bother with it. It isn't a matter of them liking or not liking leather--it's a matter of them liking warm, living skin attached to an animal where they can feed when they please. Also, they stick with warm-blooded animals because they have hair, which helps them hold on. It's very rare for leather to still have hair attached to it.
Reply:I don't know, I haven't seen a flea dressed in either leather or lace..lol..they don't like leather couches tho, too firm and they can not really burrow into it.
