How do I make my calves thinner in order to fit into these awesome boots?

Although I've been working on losing weight recently, I'm not obese, and my calves don't seem to have much, if any, fat on them. I never thought of them as a problem area. HOWEVER...I bought a really expensive and extremely amazing-looking pair of boots recently which refuse to be zipped up past my calves! Apparently, no matter which size the foot is, they only come in one calf-size.

So! How can I decrease the size of my calves? Will losing weight overall reduce the size of them? Is there an exercise for just calves? Or will that only make them more muscular, and therefore, bigger still? OR is there a way to stretch out the boots? They are leather.

I am determined to wear these boots! Please help!

Take the boots to a leather store and see if they will stretch them for you.

You can also just exercise and lose weight. The only way your calves will get bigger would be if you are lifting really heavy weights and doing few reps...focus on doing more reps and less weight.
Reply:You might just try some elevator inserts, as your heel rises so does your calf muscle making it somewhat slimmer. Good Luck :-)
Reply:I have that problem too and it really doesn't have anything to do with weight. I've seen people bigger in mass than me wear knee length boots. I haven't a clue what to tell you.
Reply:Walk or bikeriding
Reply:hi. I like the way you look right now
Reply:I am of normal size but have always had tick calves and no matter what I did they did not become smaller and as you said all the boots are for thinner calves. I solved my problem by buying boots that stretched ins ted of zippers, I have a black and a brown, never found other colors, they are nine west, good luck!!
