I read about black boots not being able to get to brown, but what about just a darker brown to a regular/light brown? When I bought them, the lighting must have made them lighter, because now they seem a bit too dark. Is bleaching possible? I have a pair of black shorts that faded into a darkish brown from the sun, is that possible with boots? They are leather... Thanks in advance.

I dont think you can fade it.
Try polishing with a lighter color of polish.
other than that you would have to take some sandpaper to them and literally sand the color off, but that would ruin them unless you are going for the gutter look
