Can someone help with leather?

On the weekend I was thrown in the pool at party wearing leather pants and boots. Can someone tell me how to dry them and get them back to normal as I think they may be ruin.

Can someone help with leather?
If you havent already, rinse with regular water...blot with a towel- fill the boots with news paper and replace twice a day,if you could hang the pants would be great- a cool fan can be put on them to speed drying. Once dry put them in the tumble dryer on "air fluff" (no heat) with a dry load.

Apply a good quality conditioner protector to both- if there has been color inconsistancy it can be dealt with, with rub on DIY kits. Let me know if you need more help http://www.DIYLeatherSolutions.com
Reply:You can try saddle soap, but you may want to stop by a leather shop and see if they will co-sign my advice.
Reply:Call a leather cleaners/alterations shop and ask -- or a leather shop -- they may be able to offer suggestions
Reply:If you rinsed the pool chemicals off the leather, well doesn't really matter, but it would be a plus.

I would contact an Upholstery Shop, most of them do Leather seats in automobiles and have reasonable priced products for the care and restoration of everyday usable leather.

It is an animals skin, or hide, kinda depends on what the Factory that initially purchased the hide used on it, dye, softeners, stitching and others.

The Alterations shop or Dry Cleaners is a good suggestion also, an Upholstery shop would be my go.

It is just animal skin that has been cut and sewn together to make a whatever, with proper care a saddle or bridle, (they are normally made of leather) will last in excess of 50 years.

I have seen Leather Interiors in Convertibles that are still good after 35+ years.

I have seen some that were shot, but not beyond repair.

Either way you go, decide if the cost of the repair is higher or lower than the replacement cost as they are just clothes it would not be fiscally sound to spend $500+ to repair something that retails for $250.

May wanna get some saddle soap and water repellent and apply it to the fixed or new items because rain happens, Also may wanna stay a few more feet away from pools or the idiots that were congregating at that pool at that time.
Reply:try taken them to the dry cleaners.
