Best leather conditioner?

for saddles..boots..bridles etc. I went to a local feed and seed and they didnt have any leather conditioner. they just had saddle soap and neatsfoot oil. I want to give conditioner a try so if you know a really good brand??

Best leather conditioner?
I like Horseman's One Step, by Absorbine. My saddle is old (but oh so broken in and comfortable, and still looks good too) and it made it very soft and supple. My bridle is newer and the reins are like cooked spaghetti-soft after using it. It is about $10 for a small tub of it, but it lasts awhile. I would say your local farm store/tack store should carry it - Absorbine products are not really hard to find. You can likely order it from a company such as State Line Tack, also. Also, some PetSmart stores have a horse section and I would bet it might be found there, too.

Good luck, whatever you decide!! :)
Reply:Passier Lederbalsam is the best I've tried. It smells good and makes the lether sooo soft a supple. Try www.smartpakequine.com or www.doversaddlery.com.
Reply:I am not sure what country you are in, but I would suggest Stubben. (They are German and make wonderful products)
Reply:I'll add my vote to Lexol. It turned an old dried out leather saddle back to almost new with a week of consistent application.
Reply:the best is called "leather CPR" it is so good and you just have to use a little and it will work wonders for you and your lewather
Reply:any good horse retailer , get carr day and martin balsalm conditioner . it water proofs and protects very well . i wont buy anything else xx good luck
Reply:Bick-4 by Bickmore. It works great and does not affect the color of the leather, especially light oils that would otherwise darken.
Reply:saddle soap and lexol is all we ever used. Saddle soap is to clean the leather and lexol to condition it.
Reply:I like Leather New. According to its label, it "cleans, conditions and shines all in one step". I've always had great luck with it and a little goes a loooong way. It's available at most tack shops or else at State Line Tack, Dover, etc.

...Just don't use it on the inside of your boots right before a dressage show (I was an overly zealous child when it came to pre-show preparation, LOL!)
Reply:I love Lexol :)
Reply:horsemans one step ...cant be beat! like to use it for all cleanings/conditionings, every few weeks. it really gets the gunk off without drying the leather at all. makes the leather look and feel wonderful. i do 2 big cleanings, 1 in the spring and one in the fall. i break everything down, clean all leather with a toothbrush and a cake of ivory soap. brasso all steal fittings, paint twice with oil oil.
Reply:Leather Therapy is supposed to be really good. I like Lexol and have used it for years.

:)
Reply:Hi Kay-Have you ever tried the Neatsdoot oil? I've been in the horse world for many yrs., %26amp; thats all I've ever used. I think its way good stuff. Personal opinion of course. Have a good day-Woops, I spelled Neatsfoot wrong up above, but thats what I meant.
