Tuck in or leave shirt loose with cowboy boots?

Hello everybody. I'm a guy that recently bought a pair of cool ankle lenght caramel cowboy boots with a harness buckle. I got some pairs of straight leg ripped jeans in light blue and grey. I'm just having issues on whether to tuck in the shirt of leave it loose? Because before, I used to tuck in my shirt. But lately after my friends advised me that I should leave my shirt loose. They said that it gives a much more relaxed impression about your style. Plus I hear that tucking in your shirt makes you look older. I don't know that truth behind this. Anyways, does it matter if I choose a collared shirt or non-collared shirt with the outfit? Would a denim jacket or leather jacket look cool with the outfit? I wanna look cool and trendy. Thanks for the help. Take care..

Tuck in or leave shirt loose with cowboy boots?
As I have lived in Texas most of my life, I've seen a lot of the younger guys (16-24) tucking in just the front of their shirt to show off the buckle, and leaving the rest untucked. I think it looks good, more of a trendy thing with western wear I suppose. Anyways, good luck!
Reply:wear it any way you want its your shirt.what ever feels comfortable to you

.
Reply:untucked, I don't think tucking the shirt will go good with the boots.
Reply:Non collared shirt and tucked in.
Reply:As a girl from texas..

Reply:Loose, tucked in is not right at all. You dont want to look like some old cowboy
Reply:lots of good answers, but whats the point of buying and wearing cowboy boots if that is not the look you are going for?

Doesn't matter what kind of shirt you wear tuck it in, but wear a matching long sleeved shirt open and leave that un-tucked.

Then you have both options at all times.

....cya....
Reply:Definitely leave it loose. It looks so much better. Choose a collared shirt with a leather jacket and the jeans.

Totally Trendy
Reply:Long sleeved collared shirt, plain somewhat fitted t-shirt underneath, sleaves rolled up half way-yes! As far as a jacket goes, very basic brown or caramel leather jacket OR a really cool thin cordorouy blazer.
