Shrink cowboy boots?

I was given a pair of cowboy boots that are the correct length, but are too wide. Is there any way to shrink the leather so they will hug my feet more snugly?

Shrink cowboy boots?
get boots really wet....when throughly saturated with water place near wood stove.... high heat source ...not to close or will burn the leather this will shrink them some what.....don't leave on your feet as the steam from the heat will burn you. when dried try on and if this is ok treat them with dubbin or like product....
Reply:Soak them in water and then wear them with wet socks for a day (until the socks dry). This will help them to form to the shape of your foot and they will be more comfortable. This is what I do with EVERY pair of boots I get. They must be real leather though.
Reply:first, look on the bottom of your boots. if they have peggs in the bottom, make your boots wet...then let them dry! they will shrink when they dry because of how the boots and peggs expand, then as they dry, they end up getting smaller! it worked on mine!
