Knee high boots for the short & skinny?

I'm looking for recommendations on knee-high boots (brand, store, or specific style). I am 5'1" with 30cm calves. I have looked @ duoboots.com since they have my calf size, but I don't really like the shorter designs they have that they say are a good fit for petites. I don't know if their regular knee high styles would end up being thigh high on me.

Can anyone can suggest where to find more of these shorter knee-high boots for the vertically challenged? Here's a description of the boots I am looking for:

1) black leather

2) short heels (can't wear heels over 1.5" due to foot problems)

3) women's size 7 (38 European)

4) would last a couple of years of normal use

5) goes w/ pants %26amp; skirts (and also dresses, preferably)

6) not the kind made wide for tucking pants in (I never do that)

Also if anyone knows more about whether there's a chance the non-petite Duo boots would fit, let me know. I'd say my legs are of a regular length for my height, not unusually short or long.

Knee high boots for the short %26amp; skinny?
Knee boots are great for short women. I'm 5' and have some black knee high 4 inch stilettos that help my height and i get compliments often. Sorry about the foot problem, but Zappos would be the first place to look... :)
Reply:I don't think high knee boots are good for short people in general because it will make you look more shorter. Wear calf length boots.

Hey guys, what is a good way to break in new shoes/boots.?

My friend has the exact same pair of boots that I have. The upper leather is extremely soft and flexible. The sole is also very flexible. How can I get mine like that. Mine hurt my feet so bad. His are way more comfortable.

Here is the pair we have.

Hey guys, what is a good way to break in new shoes/boots.?
If you don't want to spend money on taking it to a shoe business, I'd recommend wearing them everyday and all day until they start softening up. I have that exact same pair and it took a while to break them in, but they are nice and comfortable for me to wear all day. They're so comfortable that I leave them on all day.

-Wear them all day

-Flex them while you're wearing them

-Walk with them
Reply:Go to a shoe store and let them do it for you. There is one at Sunset Ridge on N. New Braunfels between Austin Hwy and Eisenhower.
Reply:I have a small ranch also and wear boots a good part of the time. What I find works best it a two fold process. first soak them down really good and then insert a boot stretcher and leave it in until the boot dries completely. While using the boot stretcher be careful to not over do it, just a little bit, you don't want to over do it so just a little bit and you can repeat the process if it isn't enough. boot stretchers aren't very expensive and they hold the shape of the boot
Reply:maybe leather conditioner can help speed up the process, but wear them every chance you get perhaps thick socks can help ease the pain
Reply:In order to break-in new shoes/boots I have found this to be very effective. You first bend the shoe or boot all the way back to front. Then take the shoe/boot and bend backward all the way to halfway. Try it
Reply:The best way to break in boots is to get them wet while wearinging them. I have a ranch and wear boots all the time. the way we break them in is to walk into the creek or spray them with a hose . Walk around while they are wet and they will loosen up. after 2 or 3 times they will fit perfectly to your foot.

Knee boots too tight on calves how can i stretch them?????

Hi

I bought a pair of knee boots online to tuck my jeans into but they're too tight on my calves does anyone know how i can stretch the leg of the boot? they are vintage and butter soft leather.

Many thanks x

Knee boots too tight on calves how can i stretch them?????
I apoligise for my rude answer i was taking the fact that i am having a bad day out on my answers, not right i have edited it and once again i am really sorry
Reply:They will stretch with wearing

Get your boyfriend to wear them for a day or two - that should do it

He'll learn about the pain girls suffer to look good at the same time lol
Reply:If you find you have this problem a lot maybe invest in some boot stretchers, they are like plastic or wooden devices you leave in your boots when not wearing them they expand and help to stretch the leather.. Id start wearing the boots without the jeans tucked in to start with just to get them loosened up to fit you actual calfsthe warmth from your skin and the weather conditions will all help to start getting them more supple
Reply:send them back and buy a pair in your size!!!!!!!!
Reply:Get them wet, stuff with a towel or similar and leave to dry.
Reply:try puttung the pig back in its skin
Reply:if you sit on the ground and strech your legs out in front of you and strech to your toes pulling them back so it lengthens your muscle....do 20 reps of that each day and you should notice your calves fit into the boots better

Paint removal from boots?

Ok, so I asked someone to dye a pair of boots for me, but instead she put latex house paint on them. The boots are the Corcoran Marauder style with leather toe and heel, and either cotton or nylon everywhere else (more or less). The paint is comming off of the leather areas just fine (where it could actually stay, as far as I'm concerned), but has deeply penetrated (not all the way through) the fabric, making it stiff, gummy, and, critically, ruined its vapor permeativity. My tentative plan is to soak the boots in OOPS for a day or two and then wash them out a few dozen times. My concern is that the OOPS may degrade the fabric or rubber soles, or otherwise destroy the boots. Does anyone know what to expect, or have any better ideas for getting the paint out? I had the boots custom made when I was in Korea, and would like to recover them if possible.

Paint removal from boots?
thats really funny is she daft or what

latex house paint can be degraded with ammonia/windex or denatured alcohol

I would not use anything stronger than that and I would do it by hand no soaking
Reply:WD-40 spray lubricant should work for getting the paint off your boots and this will not harm the leather and it will penetrate and add water repellency it will also soften and protect and remove paint, just spray on and leave for about twenty to thirty minutes then remove with a cloth or old sponge when paint is removed you will see that the paint has darkened the leather as house paint is full of chemicals that hard materials can only withstand, the person that did this to your boots has deffinitely ruined your boots so they will never be the same again Good Luck !

Cowboy boots ? are they bad ?

i got these cowboy boots on ebay they looked like in great condition and were very pretty ... but it didnt say if it was leather so im worried i knoww some boots are very cheap for riding and can hurt you it was a light soft pink boot im worried there not good cause i got em for 10.99 ?

Cowboy boots ? are they bad ?
I'm afraid with Ebay you never really know what you're getting. For 10.99 I wouldn't expect thew same kind of quality you'd find in a $300 pair of Frye boots. Worst case scenerio I'd just wear them with some thick socks.
Reply:i have leather boots for riding that only cost me £15

try wearing them once and if they hurt or generally aren't much good, you might want to consider getting proper ones
Reply:if they are just for riding i would worry about it PLUS u got them for cheap so if they arent good enough its not like u spent a LOT of money on them...

What is the brand of my boots??

I had a pair of brown lace up boots that I loved and when I moved to Hawaii I lost them. I would like to get a new pair but I don't know the brand. The boots had a very distinct orange leather lining. Bright orange. I bought them at Journeys like 4 years ago and I remember when I bought them clerk told me it was a spin off of Dr. Martens. Whether that's true, no clue. They where a past the ankle boot with like 8 grommets and a distressed brown color but I think the lining is the giveaway. I don't know what the intended gender was but I think they were for women but not sure on that either. Please help!! I live in Seattle now and need something that will stand up against the weather. I know its silly but I miss my boots. :(

Okay so for Christmas I got this pair of boots from aeropastale. They are kind of like fake uggs, but they are just boots, about shin high, tan, and leather. They do have this thing to them...its kind of like loose fabric...well i dont know how to explain it but...are they in or out?

Woman wearing mens motorcycle boots??

All the motorcycle boots for women are plain black leather. Are there any bad things about wearing a mens motorcycle boot? What about size? What size would a woman wear in a mens boot?

Woman wearing mens motorcycle boots??
I wear mens boots. My feet are wider and they fit better, the only thing I have found is the shins are a little longer. Just go try them on. I normally wear an 8 in womens which = a 6 in mens, but my last pair of men's Quadrants were a 7.
Reply:Try them on. If the boot fits....ware it
Reply:The important thing is how the boot fits your foot. The tag doesn't matter. Women's sizes run about 2 sizes smaller than men's. A woman's size 9 would be about a men's 7. Best thing is to try them on. Size 9 in one brand could be same as size 8 in another. Width can vary too.
Reply:If they fit your feet and are good protection, that's all that matters.
Reply:I'm pretty sure you would subtract two sizes from whatever women's size you wear, and that's your men's size.
Reply:If the sizes are US sizes, subtract 1.5 from the Men's size to get the women's size. (This works for Converse tennies too!)
Reply:Mens feet are different... wider heels are the most noteable. You'll be more comfortable in a Womens specific boot...

Thankfully the best boot maker out there has a womens line with more than just black (not much more, but still). Look into Sidi boots, not cheap ~ but they'll last you Most of a lifetime. I'm a decade and about 150,000 miles out from buying my last pair of boots ever... ;)

http://www.extremesupply.com/sidi/sidibo...

Look to the bottom of that page, and if you search around on those models, you can sometimes find another color/color combination. My wife Loves her Violet Tepors (in brown).
Reply:I do not have the need to wear these kinds of boots, but my cowboy boots are boys. My kids are to big for this section of the boots, but I am not lol!

The sizes do run differently, so try on the boots. I find mens anything are made much stronger and they last longer then female anything. If the clothing has women on it more then likely it will not last...
Reply:Women's shoe sizes run two sizes smaller then men's (i. e., a man's size 9 equals a woman's size 7).

Maybe they do this so women don't feel Sasquatchian.
Reply:there is anything wrong if women are to wear a men riding boot as long as the size fit.

women sizes would normally be 1 and a half size to 2 size down compare to the men feet chart. example : men boots size 6 will be a women boots size 8.

Width of the shoe also play a part. Men width normally wider and womens are narrower.

therefore do look out on the wide as well.

A question about boots and chaps for english....?

I recently purchased these boots: http://www.horse.com/products/sku-ERA17....

because my old ones were falling apart and I needed cheap, new riding boots. Now I am a bit afraid to ride in them because they are a brand called Peris or something and on the botton before the heel, they have a hard material (plastic I think) that looks like wood, but is only a thin layer because on the side there is rubber. Is that good or bad to have that hard layer on your boot?

For Christmas or when I save my money, I'd like to get a better pair of boots in the $150 and lower range. As of now I am a beginner/intermediate range in my riding skills and the highest I will be jumping is 2'6" and I ride about three days a week. I would prefer synthetic leather, but real leather is good also. Is there any boots you recomend that are really nice and durable for getting wet and doing schooling/4h shows in?

Also I have more about chaps below...

A question about boots and chaps for english....?
I'm a fan of Ariat boots as well. I've had a couple pairs, one of which I've had for several years, and plan on buying a new pair soon... not because the old ones wore out, but because my feet grew about a half size last year and the old ones don't fit me anymore. They're durable, incredibly comfortable, and neither my paddock boots or ropers needed to be broken in at all, they were just as comfortable brand new as they are now. My paddock boots have been through some horrible rainy seasons (we had a couple summers where the majority of the pastures and arean were flooded for months.) I didn't take proper care of them, so the leather's a bit stiff and beat up looking now, but otherwise they're still great.

Ariat makes some really pretty half chaps also... never tried them myself but they look very comfy and stylish.
Reply:I LOVE Ariats, both tall and paddock. They are comfortable, and virtually indestructable. Everyone in my barn wears them!
Reply:My daughter wears the Peris boots - same ones you linked to. She's had three pair now and refuses to train in anything else.

I did get her to buy a pair of Ariat Terrains for the trail riding and basic ranch days - but when it comes to training and hunter/jumper she must have them Peris paddocks.

As for Chaps, her's are the ones from stateline with the little pony on them - they have lasted 2 years sofar.

I wear SHIRE half chaps and love them but for $89 they aren't as good of quality as my daughters $30 pair.

We have had both velcro and zip. The velcro collects lint and stops working, but they are nice for multipal use like in schooling barn. The zip you need to be sure fit securely.

Our personal prefference are the zipper half chaps
Reply:Those nubs on the boots are called spur rests, dont worry about those they will do no harm.

I reccomend Ariat paddock boots. I have had mine for 7+ years and they are still going strong. As far as show half chaps I use the Ariat half chaps that have the leather on the outside and the suede on the inside. I got mine on e-bay for $60 but they retail for $100.
Reply:I would go with Ariat paddocl boots (zip up) and ariat chaps. They are both only about $100.
Reply:I go by the rule that you get what you pay for most of the time with horse products, be it saddles, bridles, breeches, etc. Especially when you are talking boots...if you get quality leather boots and half chaps, they will last you a long time - much longer than any synthetic will. I always just wear some tennis shoes or muck boots to clean stalls and such and only ride in my boots to keep them from getting nasty. Like a lot of posters recommended, I also like Ariat paddocks...I have the Heritage II zip paddock boot(around $100) and they are nice, but get a 1/2 size larger than you usually wear. I also have the Ariat All Around half chaps(around $90) and they are very nice and will stand up to a lot of use.

Oh, and I think the other thing you are describing is a spur rest and most boots, both paddock and tall, should have them.

As for showing, you are going to present a much more polished look if you get tall boots. There are so many different types of field boots that you can find affordable ones that fit well. I got a nice pair of Ariat field boots on clearance for around $150. And back zippers are a blessing for fitting/pulling on problems! If you ever want to show outside of what you are doing now, you must have tall boots because many places will not allow you to show without them. It's just a part of the sport(and yes it can be fairly expensive) to be properly attired and show your respect for the judge, the sport, and the horse by being properly turned out when you show.
Reply:I like Ariats (around $150) for both riding and working in because they are comfy and the metal arch is good for your feet. Those boots you already have look fine and should be ok for what you need until Christmas.

As for chaps, I've always had mine custom made especially half chaps so that they fit well but some from Stateline or Valley Vet would work just fine. You don't have to break the bank.
Reply:Dublin leather jodhpur boots, they are awesome, also Jackson Leggings for chaps, the combination goes well.
Reply:What is it about synthetic that makes you want that instead of leather?

I've had the same pair of paddock boots for 4 years and they're leather. Its about care and cleaning.

Synthetic does not conform to the foot like leather does so you will never get a good fit from a synthetic boot.

Someone else said If you invest in a good pair of tall boots you won't have to buy halfchaps-- this is VERY True. Also its completely against ettiquette to show in half chaps. That's a no-no.

If you plan on showing (even schooling shows) then you will need tall boots (unless you're doing young hunters, where paddock boots and leg bands are ok as a novice.)

If you've already paid for and recieved these boots, then you should goahead and break them in by wearing them around the house, etc, before you try to ride in them. (nasty blisters otherwise!) If you can, I'd send the boots back and spend a bit more on a nicer pair that is real leather.

I think you'll be a bit happier in the long run!

Schooling/practicing in halfchaps is 100% ok. But invest in some tall boots to show in.

***

You said that yoru boots smell after you use them for barn work- this will happen to both leather AND Synthetic if you don't take care of them.

And yes, you CAN get leather wet. I don't know who told you all this nonsense.

You should pre-treat all ofyour leather with a water conditioner prior to use. And just like a saddle or bridle, you should wipe down your boots with a rag after every use. This will keep them lasting longer, make the leather supple, and it wipes away any 'smells' that you don't want.

I can promise you that my boots, again VERY old, have been wet, mucked on, poo'd on, pee'd on, puked on by dogs, etc, and b/c they are rinsed and wiped off after every use, they are still fine.

I paid $100 for my ariats, but they are an investment. They last for 4-8 years as other people have mentioned. So consider that a $25 pair of boots each year-- this is STILL cheaper than your synthetics which will have to be replaced yearly b/c they are poor quality.

A good pair of boots is the difference between a bruise and a broken toe. A good pair of boots is the lifeblood of a good horsewoman. You can walk miles, chase a horse, muck stalls, clean tack, squat, bend, kneel, run, jump, skip, you name it in a good pair of boots.

Regarding your show conditions, I really hope that you understand this is NOT acceptable in the real horse world. I have NEVER been to a barn where it is acceptable to show in pajamas. That is 100% disrespectful to the judge and to your competitors. If you were my student and that happened, we'd have a long talk about why you want to show.

Showing is turning yourself out and your horse out at your best. Not your half-hearted attempt. It is not an attempt to show off but *maybe* getting around to taking a shower that day.

4 h shows prepare the rider and horse for how to work in a larger more 'rated' show environment. Schooling shows are 'practice' for you and your horse before you go to larger shows. These are SHOWS and you should turn yourself out in nice, refined attire.

I may not always wear a shirt and jacket, but I show up in a nice polo, clean britches, and polished tall boots. My horse may not be braided every time, but he is neat, tidy, and well groomed and he presents himself well to the judge.

Boots do not have to be synthetic to present yourself nicely to the judge, but showing in half-chaps is considered rude and disrespectful. Again, if you aren't interested in tall boots, look into leg straps (hunters equitation only) but these are not acceptable beyond novice.

If you plan on ever showing outside of your immediate circle where this behavior is acceptable (I promise you that its not acceptable elsewhere) then you WILL need to invest in a pair of tall boots. Or convert to western. Those are your options.

A good pair of tall boots will fit your correctly and whatever 'issues' you have with them will be gone. I still have my first pair of tall boots which are almost 10 years old now. They still are excellent for show and I clean them after each use. They are going great and fit like a glove. Again, $500 but an investment piece that has lasted quite a while.

You don't have to spend $500 on tall boots or even $150. Andyou don't have to spend $100 on paddock boots. But you do need to spend a bit more on something that is safe and will last you more than a few months.

You also have to understand that if you REALLY Want to show, then you need to understand that there are required dress codes. Maybe your immediate show circle is very lax and doesn't enforce these things, but the minute you get a guest judge or you travel to another show, you will be subject to the show rules of normal horse society.

We're not snotty, we just like to be respected. And riding in pajamas, using your example, is not respectful of me (as a judge) or my experience, my wisdom, my opinion, or the TIME I took to be there to judge you. *shrug*
Reply:As long as you are comfortable when you ride and that your boots and chaps allow you proper movement (they don't hinder your movement in other words) ride in what you want to!

As for fit on the boots, I've found through the years that if you soak them in hot water for about 10 minutes, then wear them immediately and all day long until they dry, they will mold to your leg. Sounds wild but it works every time (until such time you can afford real hand made boots).

There are tons of boots in your price range, it is most important for you to get to a large tack store and try them on for fit. As for your current boots, if they are stiff in the ankle, keep working this area with a good boot cream with a lanolin base and they will soften up in time. Make sure that you always keep boot forms in them when you are finished with them for the day, this will keep them from collapsing and causing blisters later on.
Reply:If you use tall boots, you can eliminate the need for half chaps!

Thigh high boots, ever appropriate?

I have a few pairs of above the knee boots (spiked heels, very pointy toes, leather in black and red.). Are there ever any circumstances in which I can wear them out without being thought of as a hooker?

Or should I just keep using them as my 'fun boots" for well..bedroom fun...and my favorite "revenge boots'...better used to kick deserving perverted men between the legs and crushing their balls?

Thigh high boots, ever appropriate?
UMMM CAN WE SAY PROSTITUTE? dont wear them. through them away!! seriously.
Reply:where them with the latest fashion such as the knee length trousers no wau you can look oe be known as a hooker by that
Reply:Always appropriate!!
Reply:OTK boots (Over The Knee, not a true mid thigh boot) are very much in style. With tight skinny jeans or tights together with a long top they look really good yet toned down. If they are true thigh highs they will look really good cuffed over to be OTK boots also. Out to dinner or out to the clubs are great places to wear them. You just need to have the confidence to pull it off. Do you have it?
Reply:No they are totally fun!! Try them with jeans, or leggings to avoid being hooker ish.

Reply:yes wear them out. just dont wear them with mini skirts
Reply:You are always asking questions about kicking guys in the balls, you annoying pervert. Go to a ballbusting site and get out of here, you are spreading the word that is ok and others will pay the price, and you dont have that right. You are always looking for excuses to sexual assault men.

Some of the physical symptoms:

Such an extreme agonising unique pain that you can not move or speak. Trouble breathing, horrible feeling all through the body, pain spreads up too, sickness, weakness, almost throw up feeling, etc.

Some facts about testicle trauma:

-It may cause the victim to throw up.

-It may cause the victim to passout.

-Scar tissue.

-It may cause “testicular torsion”, by initiating a muscle spasm; this is rare but is a medical emergency, testicular torsion may not happen immediately after the trauma.

-Testicles move freely and are slippery to avoid trauma, but if the trauma sustained by the testicle is hard enough (50Kg), the testicle will POP(rupture), and then probably must be removed. This is rare, and usually is associated with sport injuries when not wearing a cup. Even when can be repaired, the resulting inflammation will turn most of the contents into permanent damaged material.

-Even a medium force trauma will cause the destruction of spermatozoa-production cells. It will not cause sterility because those cells are in massive quantities, however those cells do not regenerate, it is permanent damage. And if hit many times or too hard, it may cause infertility, because the sperm count/mobility must be acceptable in order to get a woman pregnant by natural means.

-Will also reduce spermatozoa production as a result of hormonal changes, one of those changes is testosterone reduction.

-Erection problems.

-May damage the epididymis, and that is critical, because sperm must be stored there to gain mobility to be able to swim.

-May rupture major blood vessels, and draining the scrotum will be needed. Or microscopic veins inside the testicles, this will permanently destroy cells indirectly.

-In case of very hard trauma, the testicle/s can swell for more than a weak, with resulting excruciating pain and severe damage from prolonged heavy inflammation. The swelling it is similar to mumps, but in the case of mumps it will cause sterility for sure, and the testicles(usually just one) will shrink too, very sad and scary.

-In some cases may cause the antibodies to start attacking the person own sperm.

-It may even cause death as result of PAIN, heart will fail right away or will begin to fail(heart beat will became fast and irregular, usually face and lips very white) until finally stops, this is called “neurogenic shock”, and it is not that rare like people think, most of the times the victim is saved because gets medical attention on time, it will need shocks to the heart using the defibrillator!.

-Among other symptoms, the victim will feel shock/panic/confusion/anger, violated/abused, embarrassment/humiliation; those feelings will be stronger if young; especially if they do not know or never heard about “kicking in the groin”, and most especially and without comparison if done by the opposite sex. If it was an accident will only hurt physically and maybe embarrassment; but if done by a girl you will feel violated, sexually abused, extremely offended, humiliated, etc.

The victim may seem ok, but will try to hide those feelings. It depends on the person and from the situation. This will lead to Post-Traumatic Stress, the worse symptoms may only reveal a year later! People forget about emotional trauma, but it is the worse, and will not go away like the physical suffering. All men that “like” the fetish called “ballbusting”, have some kind of mental or emotional disorder; and the most common cause for that is because it happened to them in the past, they are psychologically very ill, it may change their life’s completely. The emotional trauma of being assaulted in such a private area, or the physical suffering, or the fact that it is a barbaric act, should be more than enough for girls not to do that; but the sad truth is that the only thing that make some(not all for sure) girls think twice before doing that is the permanent physical damage. It is a form of rape, male rape.

-Physical violence it is only acceptable if you are trying to defend/escape yourself from someone that is trying to use physical violence on you, and you may only use the necessary violence to ESCAPE harm, escape not to seek revenge. And kicking someone in the groin is only “acceptable” if someone is trying to kill you, or rape you(only EMERGENCIES, only EXTREME cases of self-defense), not because you are pissed off, and most certainly not for fun like it is most of the times, keep it a fantasy(why you girls don’t tell your Dads what you did, I am sure they will be PROUD of you).

-Ironically, if someone is trying to kill you or rape you, probably is expecting that defense from you, and so you will not be able to kick him, or if he is not expecting it you will not be able to hit him in an effective way.

You also have the right to use that defense if you are attacked by a STRANGER, and NO ONE ELSE IS AROUND, you never know his intentions. But you have no right to use that defense if you are attacked by a stranger or not, in a place where are other people around, like in school, or at home with your family, or in a bar, etc. If you do that in other situations, then you are 10 times worse than the guy you kicked.

-This is becoming too popular, specially in schools(sometimes they even get organized), girls get sexually aroused by that!. Women look sweet, but…….they are very mean and cruel by nature, they just try to hide it, it is very sad. Lucky for women men are not very vindictive like women are, and men are not very aggressive towards women like women are towards men, in fact men are very protective towards women. Men do not even hit back after getting kicked in the privates. Men like to see and touch women sexual organs, they do not like to hurt them or to see it happen to women. Women are so much sensitive about their sexual organs and sexuality, but then do that to men and laugh! Laughing at someone that is hit there, will only increase the suffering, and will show that you are very mean and cruel, at least try to keep it to yourself. And women claim they are more sensible than men and non violent, yeah right. If you still think is funny, then you don’t deserve to be loved by any man, and don’t deserve a family.

-And nothing happens to those sex offenders because they are women, just one of many double standards and laws that always treat men worse!

It is something very serious AND very common. That is why it should be recognised as a public health(physical and mental) issue, and therefore should be strong laws to fight that epidemic serious phenomenon.

It is not recognised yet, so I think that if a boy is kicked in the balls he should beat up the girl(a kick in the balls is much worse in many ways), that way the girl will not do it again, and the other girls will be scared too, it is the only way to stop them!

“women justice” is sick, how about if it was the other way around?!!!!!!!

Girls answers regarding this issue are always disgusting!
Reply:just keep them for your fun boots......
Reply:omg....thoose should only be worn to halloween! too bad its over, you would have a VERY scary costume! :P
Reply:Sure, try wearing them to the office. That will go over great.
Reply:Umm... I think that looks a lil slutty if there like mid thigh!! I think u should save that for a lil tease for ur guy!!!!!
Reply:If they are above the knee, and not true thigh highs (which hit mid-thigh or above) then I don't see any problem with wearing them on nights out.

Although I do love the revenge boots idea :-)
Reply:I say over conserve them. By this I mean they are naughty I got a pair! Get a long not naughty dress, longsleved, with sexy slits (to show off the boots). same dress for the red ones but accessorize(red necklace. big pearl looking, big red bracelets, or neither and a red silky scarf). wear your hair conservative too (french braid. bun). This works with a long skirt (black)with slits, long sleved shirt (now you can use a red, white, grey).
Reply:can be worn on the club scene with date, its how they are worn which is the key

you have to tone down everything else to pull it off.

Leather leggings?

I'm looking for a high quality, stylish pair of leather leggings and I can't find them ANYWHERE! All the sites I go too only have flared ones or ones that are for bikers.

I just want a sleek, sexy pair of leather pants that I can tuck into boots and cost within the $100-$200 range.

Can anyone recommend some good sites?

I've searched everywhere!

they come in a variety of colours and if your okay with spending 100 dollars for leggings than you'll be more than cool with spending just 44 dollars because thats how much american apparel is selling them for!

I also found a high waisted version if your interested(which is pretty much the leather leggings with a sort of corset attached)..looks amazing if paired with a white tank! http://store.americanapparel.net/rsac349...

Swede or leather?

do you like long skirt suits and matching boots in all swede or all leather and if you have one which material is your suit and matching boots

Swede or leather?
both
Reply:Scotchgarding suedes will easily keep them clean, when they get dirty simply slightly wet a towel and rub the stain, it should easily come out. But I would not reccommend wearing real suede shoes because they can get dirty very easily. When wearing leather you have to be carefull what you wear with it, dont wear all leather wear something like a black leather skirt, jacket and boots wear a cotton tee with it that way you dont look too biker chick with all that leather. It's always best not to get real leather skirts as they tend to get dirty easier than jackets. Try geting a pleather skirt that matches a leather jacket.
Reply:suede is ridiculously hard to keep clean. be cafeful if you purchase it. i have some suede handbags that will never be the same... i dont mind them mixed. suede skirt and leather boots would look cute.
Reply:Well suede gets destoyed very quickly. Any water will ruin it. So I would reccommend a mix. Suede for the skirt and the more durable leather for the boots.

Hope this helped!
Reply:I like both and mixing them would be fine.

Any movies with girls wearing nothing but leather?

Are there any movies to where there are girls who wear nothing but leather clothes (coat, jacket, pants and boots and gloves) throughout the movie?

What is the best method for shrinking leather?

I have an old boot knife with a leather sheath of my grandfathers. The knife used to stay sheathed due to the leather being tight enough around the hilt of the blade but now it falls out when turned upside down. What is the best way I can shrink the leather so the blade stays inside the sheath? The only thing I can think of is soaking it in water and leaving out in the sun to dry. Thanks.

What is the best method for shrinking leather?
I'm not a leather expert so there may be something else out there but that sounds the best to me as well.

Don't sharpen and heavily oil the knife before you do this to fight rust and then sharpen the knife after wards.

Maybe the oven set really low would work, too?

I really love them but not sure what I would wear with them. Any suggesions please?

Do you like these boots?
WOW - they are lovely! I'd wear them with a short skirt and thick opaque tights or perhaps leggins. They don't look like you'd get skinning jeans inside them but if you can, I'd also wear them.
Reply:those boots are very nice!!!

I advice to you wear with them a beautiful short jacket preferably the same color of boots or a different color depends on what you prefer...

and under them a T-shirt very nice with beads....

for trousers recommend jeans with designs or short trousers cloth pinstripe ....

Western boots?

What is a good western boot company that has leather sole

Western boots?
I absolutely love Ariat boots- I will never buy anything but. They are extremely comfortable and rarely need to get worn in. I have tried many other brands, but I end up getting blisters or they get uncomfortable. I have never had that problem with any of my Ariats (I have owned probably 15 different styles over the years)
Reply:These are ALL LEATHER!

http://www.cowtownboots.com/catalog/7574...
Reply:If you like to go funky just do the Justin Gypsy Boots for Cowgirls. They extremely comfortable. Ariats are nice too! I can't lie I have Justins, Ariats, Rocky boots, and Double H in my closet. Yes boot addict haha.

Just go to www.bootcity.com

They have tons to choose from! And prices and styles and everythin you kind of need to know about the boot!
Reply:Ariat are nice well made boots but most do not have leather soles they are a composit type sole. They are comfortable if you spend alot of time on your feet.

I have had a very nice pair of Tony Lama lacers leather uppers and soles. Even had them resoled. They held up well and were a very comfrotable pair of boots.

i have several pair of Justins I like them and they are a reasonably price boot good for everyday wear.

I also have several pair of Dan Post boots but those are exotic leather and more for dress than riding.

I have had some Acmes, Double Hs, and a couple of other brands. Yes I like boots.
Reply:Some Justins have leather sole, but the company I love and have the best luck with is Anderson Bean. The boot I would love to have is Luchese, they to have some with leather soles.

As you are aware I am sure, because you specifically asked for leather soles, there are boots that have a rubber sole to them, like Ariats, and some Justins.

The brand I would stay away from is Tony Llama. I had a pair and my friend had a pair and she said the same thing, they were the most uncomfortable pair of boots I have ever stepped foot in.
Reply:I see everybody loves these Ariats %26amp; Justin's....... I like Tony Lama's ... I feel all different now geez... LOL but I prefer these, they are comfy to me
Reply:justin boots are my fav but there all leather hun
Reply:Check out Ariat and Justin boots. Depending on what area you are from most local tack stores should carry these brands.

What are are your favorite horse boots?

I need to buy my horse dressage and cross country boots. I do not want leather ones and I want ones that will really protect his legs, that are easy to clean, and that look good. Price does not matter, I will pay for anyting that will give him the best support possible(It would be nice to pay for something for less though). He is gray and his name is Huckleberry Ice Cream (please don't make fun of his name).

What are are your favorite horse boots?
I personally really like the Professional's Choice Sports Medicine line of boots. (you can see some of them at http://www.profchoice.com )

They provide excellent support, and are comfortable and extremely easy care. And they come in a wide variety of colors, sizes, and styles also
Reply:You are buying boots for your horse?? Well, that's a new one on me, I'm a Western rider myself.
Reply:That is a really adorable name!!

For cross country, I like the foam boots that you can get at pretty much any tack store. The front boots have three straps and the hind boots have four. They fasten easily with velcro. They have padding on the sides that cover the pastern and cannon. And, they come in a variety of colors.

For dressage, get some polo wraps. For gray horses, I really like pink polo wraps - I know, odd. But for schooling and at shows white or black is better.
Reply:i love the name huckleberry ice cream... my horse is named.. miss dixie sunshine

What are substitutes for leather I could use when getting shoes?

I feel really bad wearing leather, but I've never found boots or good, sturdy shoes without leather. Help!

What are substitutes for leather I could use when getting shoes?
That's great you're interested in leather alternatives. This site has a list of companies that offer non-leather shoes and other non-leather products: http://www.peta.org/living/alt2.asp

Good luck!
Reply:The good thing about non-leather shoes is they're inexpensive so you can keep up with the trends, and by time they wear out- the trend is probably over anyway. :)

You can also get some plastic stripper heels lol (strippers wear plastic shoes because it's more comfortable on stage).

Where is a good place to buy good goth boots?

Okay, so I have a pair of Bongo boots that are nice, black leather, and look great with any gothy clothes I wear. Problem is, they're so worn out they hurt my feet, begin to come apart, and just generally are starting to look horrible. I want a new pair, but I don't want them to be boring or hot-topic shoes. I can't purchase anything from the 'net, so I was wondering if any mall or department store carries a nice pair of boots.

Sorry, but the only place I could reccomend is hot topic. Their shoes are gothy.

How can i get the zip to go up on my knee high boots?

I have bought recently a pair of vintage knee high boots.they are made of leather and are really nice.I usually avoid boots with zips but i couldnt resist these ones.

However i am not fat..my legs arent fat but i cant get the zip up the whole way....can anyone help me and tell me how i can make the leather stretch?

How can i get the zip to go up on my knee high boots?
lead from a pencil sometimes helps, sounds strange i know but it usually works !
Reply:there are shoe stretcher devices i see online and in catologs, but i would think it would take a few days to get them to work. you may contact a shoe repair/leather shop, bet they will do it.
Reply:You need to keep the leather pliable if you want it to stretch. Use a good leather cleaner that also feeds the leather and use boot supports to keep their shape. Use soap on the zip when you are doing them up, it makes the whole process so much easier. If all else fails go on a diet until they fit, you may be starving and look like a skeleton, but at least you will be able to wear those 'kinky boots'! Happy New Year.xx
Reply:Maybe they are not the right style of boot for you..try a different style.

I may not be so flattering or comfortable if you have to squeeze your legs into these boots
Reply:Rub the zip with a candle, the wax will lubricate it, i use it on the zip on my leather jacket.
Reply:If you are having problems with the zip, I'd suggest getting a soft pencil and rubbing both sides of the zip with it. The graphite from the pencil acts as a lubricant and you might be able to pull the zip up all the way afterwards.
Reply:Yup, get them hot, if they are leather you could actually throw them into the dryer on medium heat for like 4-6 min. or the blowdryer will work. =)
Reply:Try sitting on the floor with your boots on but having your leg on its side on the floor then zipping it up, this usually works as the same process of lying on a bed to zip a pair of tight jeans up.
Reply:Spray some wd40 on the zip.
Reply:try wearing the correct size boots
Reply:blow the hairdryer at them
Reply:I have big calves 18" all due to muscles and the best way to get the zipper up is to slide the boot down the leg and slowly begin to zip it up. This way it will be at the smaller portion of the leg. If that doesn't work then you will need a wider calf boot.
Reply:Sprinkle talcum power on the zip , it wont do any harm if it doesn't do the job .

Scared to wear long white skirt suit and boots - for the yahoo women plz no men?

are you ladies scared to wear a long skirt suit of white and matching boots while at a christmas party or christmas occasion

if you are gusty enough to wear wear one when did you wear one last and were you and your suit able to make it though the holiday party and or event with out any stain or stains and if it did not how did it get stained and were you able to get the stain or stains out or was it ruined and was the suit and boots all suede or all leather

Scared to wear long white skirt suit and boots - for the yahoo women plz no men?
I wouldn't do it for the simple fact that my grams told me over and over again No white after Labor day. until memorial day!! While that is not the 'rule' anymore its still ingrained into me. i wouldn't want grams to turn in her grave she was that against it.
Reply:I've worn white on white a number of times. I found that any food or drink spilled on it generated alot of interesting discussion during the party and quickly drew attention ....especially if it was something difficult to treat. I'd highly recommend it!
Reply:I dont think its that big of a deal. Wear it and be careful. And if it gets dirty, treat it right away.
Reply:I would never wear a white suit to any Christmas function. While I feel winter white is appropriate in the winter, I wouldn't feel comfortable wearing it to a Christmas party. It's probably my Texas roots. If there was going to be alcohol at the party, I wouldn't trust the other guests not to spill something on me!
Reply:I wore a winter white pants, blouse, and cashmere sweater with cream shoes. No problem. I eat with my mouth closed.
Reply:I'm a klutz, can't pull off white because I invariably spill something on myself. Other than that no reason not to. Especially for Christmas, a white suit with some tasteful jewelry. Just don't step in front of any snow plows. :)
Reply:Wearing white can be very striking and you should not be afraid of it. There are some precautions you should take, though. First, make sure you are able to eat and drink without spillig things all over yourself. If you can not, maybe white is not the color for you. Just be careful. If you are wearing leather, most things will be easily cleaned. Make sure you treat the leather and take care of it. Wipe off any spills immediately.

If you are wearing suede, make sure you are not going out when it is rainy or snowy where the water can ruin the outfit. If you think there is a chance, make sure to bring an extra set of shoes and a rain coat to protect your outer clothing from damage.

If you have a stain, take it to a professional as soon as possible. Most stains can be removed but the best solution is to try to prevent them from occurring in the first place.

English Boots?

I used to have my boots made by a company in England called "Leather for less". I need custom boots made, as my calf is huge (from ridding!) but my feet are small. Does anyone know of any companies that make custom boots for a somewhat decent price? I need the basic tall, black, english ridding Boots. I've been using my half chaps latley, but now that we're getting into eventing season in a few months i need some for Dressage. Thanks everyone!

English Boots?
Ariats are great, and not too expensive.

I know Mountian Horse also makes large calf boots.
Reply:Dehner Boot Company and they are located in Omaha Nebraska

402-342-7788

They custom make some of the finest boot available today.
Reply:On eBay, there is an eBay store called TheLeatherBoutique. You bid on the boots, and then if you win, you contact the seller with your measurements, and he will custom make your boots. There is also a Buy it Now price, which is $198.00. So that is not a terrible price at all, especially if they are custom made for you and guaranteed to fit! There is all the info on his site.

I think to find it quickest, just search for "custom leather boots" and his products will be the majority of the results.

Hope this helps!
Reply:The brand "Ovation" is perfect for Dressage! I use the Ovation field boots style called the "Finalist" and I love them (they also make Dressage boots, but you don't really need those until about 3rd or 4th level, so I use the field boots). They come in many shoe sizes, but also different stack sizes. You can get the stacks wide or extra wide if your calves are big. They also are decently priced for Dressage boots! You can order the Ovation boots from Dover (doversaddlery.com), and can exchange them if the calves don't fit. By the way, mine have lasted for me for a long time, and still look good.

A question for vegetarians! How do you feel about leather products?

Would you wear leather shoes, like birkenstocks, or cowboy boots?

Would you buy a leather wallet, hand bag or belt?

Just wondering..

Thanks.

A question for vegetarians! How do you feel about leather products?
Belt that I was wearing today wasn't leather - don't even KNOW if I have a leather belt to be honest......

Got some leather loafers that I have had for - I don't know how many years that I still will wear. Don't own any Birkenstock anything.

As to the cowboy boots - guilty - but then I live in Texas and not to wear them is almost reason to kick one out of the state.... But my cowboy hats are straw or felt - if that makes a difference. :)

Reply:I don't mind leather products. I think fur products are pretty tacky though. Depending on one's reason for not eating meat the answers vary.
Reply:I'm vegetarian, but not vegan.

I try to avoid leather products for the most part but I don't drive myself crazy about it. The shoes and belt I wear most of the time aren't leather; neither is my wallet, but I'm not sure about everything I own.

My wife is from India, and vegetarian. When I went to India, most of the people were wearing leather sandals, even the vegetarians. I asked somebody about that and I was told "the cows died a natural death." I thought that was a little hard to believe at the time, but I just let it go.
Reply:Certain things are fake but no I wont buy coach and stuff like that. I usually use man made materials. I have a belt but I dont think its leather. Its more like thick material. I have hammy downs when it comes to bags belts and wallets though because that way you dont waste the leather or cloth and theyre still nice. When Im older I wont buy leather couchs and stuff like that though.
Reply:I'm a vegan, so I wouldn't wear or use those items. I bought a pair of vegan Birkenstocks, and my other shoes are No Sweat Apparel brand canvas sneakers that are vegan %26amp; fair trade. My bags and wallet are all cotton %26amp; fair trade. I don't see any animal product as being worse than any other, so I don't eat, use, or buy ANY animal products!

Reply:I didn't wear leather as a l/o veg and obviously I don't use it now as a vegan.

"Health vegetarians" may not mind wearing leather. It'd be rather weird to see an "ethical vegetarian" wearing it. Vegans are vegan because of ethics. They wouldn't wear it.
Reply:no man because those leather hunters make it into a sport and a business
Reply:Definitely not. If I don't eat an animal, I'm not going to wear it. That'd be kinda hypocritical... animal skin is a killer's trophy!

And yes, I check everything lol

Open Front/Equitation Boots?

I was just curious...I'd like to buy my horse some new boots, but I was wondering what the different benefits are of leather-, sheepskin/fleece-, and neoprene-lined boots...Here's what I understand so far:

Leather: Easy to clean, more for hunter-type shows

Sheepskin/Fleece: Prevent chafing, provide cushioning

Neoprene: Absorbs concussion well, easy to clean

I'm sure there's more; any brands you recommend as well?

Open Front/Equitation Boots?
I %26lt;3 my Eskadron's for lessoning my horse @ the barn bc my horse nicks himself with his other shoes if I don't wear them. They have taken quite a beating and they still work great!!!

As for show Equitation Boots, I put my horse in the Bevel Leather Boots. I ride in Equitation and Hunter classes. They look really good on bay horses and hold up really well. You just need to make sure that they don't get dry bc they crack if you don't oil them
Reply:ask ur trainer
Reply:I've used Professional Choice SMB boots for 15 years, I won't use any other boot. They absorb the most concussion and you can throw them in the washing machine, can't ask for anything more! They do make an open front version for jumping but they are kind of hard to find.

i just bought some brown ankle boots that are flat and leather-looking, but more relaxed.. like this: http://www.oasis-stores.com/fcp/product/...

but in dark brown and less tight

so are these kind of shoes fashionable in the uk?

Are ankle boots in fashion?
What nice boots! They are in fashion. Does it really matter though? What's important is that it looks good on you and suits your style. Because if it looks good on you no one cares whether it's in fashion or not, you'll still look good!

Your overall favorte to wear - all suede or all leather?

overall when it comes to wearing long skirt suits and matching boots do you prefer all leather or all suede for your suit and boots

what color is your suit and boots if you do have a favorte and have you ever stained it and how did it happen and were you able to save the suit / get the stain or stains out or was the suit ruined

Your overall favorte to wear - all suede or all leather?
Suede for me.
Reply:Don't wear it! Save the animals!
Reply:Suede and leather are both leather. Suede is the inside of the skin and is brushed with wire brushes to make it textured and soft. Could you be referring to faux suede?

I prefer brown suede, but black leather. When stained I get it to a specialty cleaner ASAP. But I've been really lucky in the past 5 years or so.
Reply:Suede looks classier. I don't dress like that so never had anything stained. The browns %26amp; blacks look the best.
Reply:theres nothing better than a bit of leather on the skin.
Reply:Ohhh, All Leather deffinately! I like suede too but smooth leather is the best, black leather is my favorite. My favorite outfit is boots with a black leather skirt, a black satiny blouse, and a leather jacket over the blouse. I do have one outfit that has a really bold leather top that matches the skirt (and a jacket to wear over the leather top) so that the whole outift is leather but I never wear that one outside (of course the others I usually only wear out on Halloween ;-) ). I have some black leather pants too and of course, I always wear my leather jacket.

Stained it, no. But on smooth leather, most spills will wipe off if caught right away (of course the black helps here too). On suede ... YIKES! ... Good Luck here.

White's Work Boots - What size are these???

I just listed these on Ebay. They belong to a friend who's out of town at the moment and I can't reach her to ask what size. I think she said she wore size 7, but there's NO "size 7" on these boots -- and nothing at all on the box about a size.

They were recently rebuilt, and both right and left boots are size MK45C, according to the invoice for the rebuilding.

4-1/2CB is incised into the leather on the inside of each boot; there is also the number 8 in the same area, but only on one boot.

I wear size 9-1/2 or 10, and honestly these don't look much smaller than that! They were built for and worn by a woman, that much I'm sure of!

These boots were custom made in Washington state, so I'm assuming the size is American and not European -- but I don't know??

Here's a link to the auction so you can read the rest of the description: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...

Leather skirt with?

would you wear a black leather skirt with a turtlneck and boots and a nice jacket over it.what leather do you own.

Leather skirt with?
Absolutely! You just named my favorite outfit!

The turtleneck I usually wear is a sleeveless, very tight clingy one that lengthens my torso (I like to keep everything in proportion with high heels). All in black, and the boots are usually knee-high with about a 3-inch heel.

I have two leather skirts (a mini and a knee-length), a leather jacket, leather gloves, and then my faux-leather collection is pants, two pairs of boots, a long ankle-length coat, and there's something else but I can't quite recall at the moment.
Reply:Thank you! The coat is cut like Blade's from Blade %26amp; Blade II. :) Report It

Reply:probably not seeing as it's not my style but it looks alright on other people =]
Reply:Take pictures and ill let you know :)
Reply:I wear a leather skirt. Nothing else.

Why is the leather ripping on my RF4 skates?

The Leather on the toes of my boots are ripping. It start when doing a certain move which required me to bend down on one knee and skate along the ice. Surely this shouldn't cause the rip in the boots? Risport are suppoed to be good quality boots which cost me £100 new. I've only had the for 3 months and I look after them very very well. Can you tell me if this is normal or how i can fix it? There is a link to the pictures of the rips below.

http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b131/x...

Why is the leather ripping on my RF4 skates?
It's not that the leather is ripping . . . it's more that it's being "shaved" from the ice when you're dragging the boot in that spot on the ice.

I had that on the inside edge of my boots because I did TONS of lunges. So if you do those sort of moves, yes, that will happen to your boots and will continue to get worse if you don't take care of it now. Mine got to the point where the leather was thinning out so much that it was nearly becoming a hole!!

A lick of polish can help, but it won't last if you keep doing that move. Boot covers and over the boot tights eventually get damaged from the drag too. I ended up putting Sk8tape on my lunge marks . . . not only did it save my boot from further damage (the tape really holds up!), but it also kept it waterproof so water wouldn't hit the leather (which messes up the boot even more). Funny thing is I felt I did lunges better with the tape - in a weird way it felt more slippery - without the drag from the leather!

Here are instructions on how to use sk8tape if you wanted to protect your entire boot - but that's extreme. http://www.rainbosports.com/policies/ska... You can just apply it on the areas where you get these marks. If you use the tape in competion, no one will see the tape from far away.

Best of luck!

I Have a white dabber thing In the make of 'Kiwi'

It is supposed to be for Trainers but it does the Job!

You can get them from Sainsburys or a sport shop..

Good Luck x =]
Reply:My skates look like that too. The leather has also worn off on the inside of the right skate from dragging it on the ice. Skate tape it your best bet. You could also probably cover those up with some white polish and then put the skate tape over the repair so it doesn't continue to rip.
Reply:Yes, that can happen if you don't protect your skates. I recommend either using Sk8Tape, over the boot tights, or boot covers. All of these will protect your skates and prevent further rips as well as other damage to your skates.

Christmas style long skirt suit and boots - for the women of yahoo only plz no men?
The last time I bought a long skirt for Christmas was an off white lace skirt with matching blouse and black boots. My next purchase (if I can find it) will either be an 8 gore long black skirt (crape or velveteen material) with a print blouse (Burgundy's, greens, blacks, %26amp; golds) with low heel boots (also black) or I will buy the material in velvetine or crape material in a forest green with a print blouse (same colors as previously mentioned), with a cream or black cape to off set it (also long). I will either use the boots I have or buy the lower heeled boots I mentioned earlier! I would wear silver jewelry and silver hair decorations as well!

Just wear it, already! This question is getting old. Just wear it. Women wear long skirts with boots everyday.
Reply:No offense to you personally, but your obsession with this topic has caused me to wonder if you are a male pervert who just wants to hear women talk about their clothing.
Reply:You're either doing marketing research for a detergent company or you have a long skirt/boots/stain fetish.
Reply:The first time I wore a long skirt and boots was to a company Christmas party. I did not really worry about staining it; I just worried about keeping it looking nice while I was at the party. It was not a suit, it was a long skirt and lacy white blouse. The boots were black.
Reply:Oh my gosh! What does it matter?

If the material was leather and you wasted something on it, all you would have to do is wipe it off.

Why do you care about the stain or stains?

I believe you are asking for purely freaky reasons.
Reply:I swear to god if you ask one more question about long skirts and boot and stains I am going to hunt you down and kill you.
Reply:I don't remember what it was. I think a black velvet long skirt with boots. It was great. Wear it and enjoy yourself. I didn't get stains on stuff cuz I was careful. But, if you do just clean it.
Reply:I could not tell you the first time I wore a long skirt with boots because I do that all fall and winter. Mostly long denim skirts with black suede boots. I do not worry about stains.....Just wear it and enjoy it....

Peace.
Reply:Im not sure what long skirt and boots have to do with anything...you bought something expensive and now your worried you're gonna stain it? OK...yes that is a possibility if its cotton or polyester or something bring one of those stain remover things. If its suede or leather...find out how to get stains out just in case

How do I clean the white fabric portion of my Timberland Euro Hiker boots?

I bought a pair of Timberland Euro Hiker boots that are black (leather) and white (fabric). The fabric portion is kind of dirty and I would like to know if there is any way to clean it.

How do I clean the white fabric portion of my Timberland Euro Hiker boots?
something I found that works great on my white tennis shoes is a product called Bleche White. You can get it in most automotive stores. be careful with it as I am sure it will whiten or change the color of the black parts if directly applied. I sprayed it onto a towel or rag and then wipe my shoes with it. It works great. If you don't want to risk leaving a solution in the material that may or may not run when exposed to rain, snow, etc. then try a Mr. Clean Magic eraser.
Reply:Clorox bleach Pen, works wonders!
Reply:Fantastic All purpose Oxy House Cleaner. It is fantastic on Fabric and upholstery. And inexpensive. Use a soft brush or rag. Then you can use it on windows and coutertops or your sneakers.
Reply:I know a store in NY-Dick's sporting goods. They sell all types of cleaners for Timm's. I'd try that before a bleach. Bleach will eventually eat through it. Call stores that sell timm's. They have to have products to clean em. You could even do a search for Timberland outlets or Timberland website to see all their products. Then get a Protector for them-Like a water proofer. Usually helps a lot with white. Good Luck.

Is leather sexy(girls only)?

like is a leather coat sexy. and does boots or regular shoes look better. and are pants sexy if theyre kinda tight.

Is leather sexy(girls only)?
leather can be cute if it's worn as a bomber jacket maybe with a fur trim or something and buckle accents. Otherwise...no.

Boots or regular shoes?

Depends on what you define "regular shoes" as. I personally love boots for this time of year -- small heel, suede perhaps with cinching and buckles. Or leather with a stiletto heel. I love those half boots at Aldo too.

Regular shoes could mean anything...for me it's usually a pair of rounded-toe pumps.

And leather pants...biggest fashion faux pas ever!

There's no excuse for anyone to be wearing leather pants in 2007...or anywhere in the near future
Reply:Leather coat is sexy, especially if it's a little fitted, like a suit coat. I personally like boots.

Guys does a woman who wears alot of leather do anything for you?

like if she is wearing a leather skirt or thigh high boots with a skirt, does this do anything for you? i have a vendor who is going to be giving me some items after a fashion show but i have never been big into leather myself. so just looking for your opinions and mainly from the guys out there.

Guys does a woman who wears alot of leather do anything for you?
If your vendor is just handing them to you, by all means, take 'em! You could always wear some of the items with other outfits. Personally, I like leather and it seems to have a fantastic effect on men when I wear it to the clubs. Thigh-highs with a tiny little skirt will turn any man's head! Tee-hee!
Reply:mmmmm LEATHER, love leather on woman's skin

Liz Claiborne/real leather?

I choose not to wear real leather and got some cowboy boots I thought were faux. I'm wondering how I can tell if they're real or not. The insides are like cracked (from being old, I got them at a vintage shop) little flat pieces of dark foam and behind that looks like the animal skin. I didn't notice this until today. I thought they were fake because they don't smell strong but other than that sign I don't know what else to look for. The material is criss crossed/interlaced in the middle, and the boots are thin, they sag at the ankle. Hopefully some of you can help me out. Serious answers are appreciated, thanks. =)

Liz Claiborne/real leather?
liz claiborne does make leather wear but they have faux leather too. check inside the boot where the size is printed. it there anything that says "leather upper" or "all manmade materials"?
Reply:Liz Claiborne is good quality but by buying from this brand you are supporting racial hate groups and a negative racial image, but if thats you're type of brand then go for it.
Reply:If it's vintage Liz Claiborne it is likely real leather. At one time no designer would use fake leather on branded label footwear. As leather ages it can loose that characteristic leather smell. Real leather is healthier for your feet than fake leather. Fake leather foot wear does not breathe makes your feet sweat and can lead to serious foot health problems, including serious fungal infections that are difficult to clear up without drugs. For the sake of your overall health, foot health and comfort wear real leather, not plastic. BTW-did you know that the production of the plastics used to make fake leather kills far more animals in the long term? And that Vinyls come from some of most highly toxic chemicals known to modern industry? You may have saved one cow that was already dead and turned to steaks; but you've contributed to global warming and large scale environmental destruction due to toxic waste and pollution.

If you are going to be an idealist, be sure you have all the facts first. Read some of the literature on the toxicity of plastics and then reconsider your choice to encase your foot in a carcinogenic chemical.

Edit to add...some vinyls made in China have been found to contain toxic levels of lead, Once again, what's wrong with leather?
